Meet The Team
Robert K. Brown, JR. - Founder and Executive Director
Robert has worked with at risk youth for over 30 years. He started Young Lives Redeemed in 2014 to serve the unmet needs of former foster youth transitioning out of the foster care system, specifically addressing their debilitating unresolved childhood trauma and related addiction.
Robert has been a member of the California Bar since 1986, working with international law firms, and practicing in the area of commercial and financial transactions. He formed Kendall Development in 2001, and developed over $30 million of residential real estate in Southern California.
Shawn Baldwin - Director
Shawn is the President of Baldwin & Sons, LLC. He has an extensive background in residential real estate development. He has served in various capacities for the Baldwin Companies, the Pacific Division of Sunrise Companies, and Pacific Coast Communities, specializing in single-family and master-plan development.
Shawn is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and Young Presidents Organization (YPO), both being leading organizations dealing with education, research and networking in the local area.
Rebecca Callahan - Director
Rebecca Callahan (“Beki”) is an attorney who spent the first part of her career handling complex business litigation matters in state and federal court, and the second part as a full-time mediator, arbitrator and court referee. Beki has been drawn to community service since she came to Orange County. In her professional career, she has contributed by serving in leadership positions with several organizations, creating and producing legal education programs, and acting as a volunteer mediator to the state and federal courts for over 20 years. In her local community, she has served in leadership positions with not-for-profit organizations associated with education and youth athletic programs.
Beki joined the YLR board because it is dedicated to a local cause that does not get much attention: emancipated foster youth, who have been provided with food and shelter during their minor years, but who leave that system without the tools, education, support or resources to enter or engage with the outside world.
Lisa Maguire - Director
Lisa Maguire is a long-time Orange County resident. She raised her two now adult children with her husband, Kevin, who works in real estate development.
Lisa has always had a heart for abused and neglected children, and has served in different capacities with various nonprofit entities, including for several years as a court appointed special advocate with CASA Orange County. She is pleased to be in a position to bring attention to the underserved needs of homeless former foster youth, a situation with which she has first-hand knowledge through her past volunteer activities.
Dr. Greg Manning - Director
Dr. Manning is a licensed Clinical Psychologist, who provides practical and helpful training, public speaking and consultation services to community groups, public and private mental health and child welfare organizations, as well as consumers of mental health and child welfare services.
Dr. Manning has wide experience dealing with the public sector, the non-profit community and mental health agencies, providing intensive case management services for youth in foster care and serving as the mental health liaison on many local and regional committees. He has participated in developing and implementing innovative community mental health programs, and is experienced in family and group therapy.
Garth. T. Vincent - Director
Garth is a partner with Munger, Tolles & Olson. He is active in many bar and professional organizations, including the American Bar Association (Antitrust and IP Sections), the California State Bar Association (Antitrust Section) and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He was chosen as the “Outstanding Young Lawyer” by the J. Reuben Clark Law Society (Los Angeles Chapter), and has served on its board.
He was a former Judge Pro Tem for the Los Angeles Municipal Court. He also serves on the board of the Palisades-Malibu YMCA, and is the lead volunteer for its youth programs.
