• Robert K. Brown, JR.

    FOUNDER, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Robert has worked with at risk youth for over 30 years. He started Young Lives Redeemed in 2014 to serve the unmet needs of former foster youth transitioning out of the foster care system, specifically addressing their debilitating unresolved childhood trauma and related addiction.

    Robert has been a member of the California Bar since 1986, working with international law firms, and practicing in the area of commercial and financial transactions. He formed Kendall Development in 2001, and developed over $30 million of residential real estate in Southern California.

  • Shawn Baldwin

    DIRECTOR

    Shawn is the President of Baldwin & Sons, LLC. He has an extensive background in residential real estate development. He has served in various capacities for the Baldwin Companies, the Pacific Division of Sunrise Companies, and Pacific Coast Communities, specializing in single-family and master-plan development.

    Shawn is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and Young Presidents Organization (YPO), both being leading organizations dealing with education, research and networking in the local area.

  • Serena Benson

    DIRECTOR

    Serena is the founder and principal of Southern California Real Estate Services, a West Coast-based commercial real estate firm headquartered in Tustin, California.

    Serena is a Southern California native, having graduated from Laguna Beach High School, as well as earning her degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

    Serena’s mother was a foster child and has seen the impact of that experience upon her. Serena is excited to be a part of the YLR Board, and is motivated to make a tremendous impact on the lives of others.

  • John Fucci

    DIRECTOR

    John has recently retired from a career in commercial real estate, spending the majority of his career with Kilroy Realty Corporation.

    John and his wife Kathleen were early supporters of YLR and played an ongoing role prior to joining the board. John has a particular interest in assisting disadvantaged youth and addressing the chronic problem of homelessness among former foster youth. He champions the role YLR plays in stabilizing, and building self-sufficiency within, the lives of the youth YLR serves, so that they do not develop a lifelong reliance on public assistance.

  • Kathleen Fucci

    DIRECTOR

    Kathleen has lived in California, not counting some educational and job detours in her 20's, for over 50 years. She and her husband John raised their three children in Orange County.

    Kathleen is a published children's book author, a noted public speaker, and the founder of Look Up Ministries. She has a heart for youth, particularly abused, neglected and abandoned youth, and has sought ways to make a meaningful difference in their lives through active philanthropy.

  • Lisa Maguire

    DIRECTOR

    Lisa Maguire is a long-time Orange County resident. She has always had a heart for abused and neglected children, and has served in different capacities with various nonprofit entities, including for several years as a court appointed special advocate with CASA Orange County. She is pleased to be in a position to bring attention to the under-served needs of homeless former foster youth, a situation with which she has first-hand knowledge through her past volunteer activities.

  • Dr. Greg Manning

    DIRECTOR

    Dr. Manning is a licensed Clinical Psychologist, with a wide experience in dealing with the public sector, the non-profit community and mental health agencies, providing intensive case management services for youth in foster care. He has participated in developing and implementing innovative community mental health programs, and is experienced in family and group therapy.

  • Garth. T. Vincent

    DIRECTOR

    Garth is formerly a partner with Munger, Tolles & Olson. He is active in many bar and professional organizations, including the American Bar Association (Antitrust and IP Sections), the California State Bar Association (Antitrust Section) and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

    He was a former Judge Pro Tem for the Los Angeles Municipal Court. He also serves on the board of the Palisades-Malibu YMCA, and is the lead volunteer for its youth programs.

  • Steve Yi

    DIRECTOR

    Steve is President of Mansfield Textile, Inc., a textile manufacturing and distribution company. He has an extensive history in starting and developing textile-related companies, with an expertise in strategy, vision and mission planning. Steve is a past President and the acting Board Chairman of the Korean American Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles and past Board Chairman of the Los Angeles Symphony Orchestra.

    He is the recipient of numerous awards of recognition, including from the Korean Consulate General in Los Angeles and the County of Orange. Steve understands the plight of homeless former foster youth, and desires to take an active role in improving the outcomes of this population.
